Work placements
Work experience can be an important aspect of a young student’s development, providing an insight into what research is like, and providing an opportunity to experience a university environment.
The Department of Physics currently provides and supports two work experience schemes, both aimed at students that are in year 12 and interested in studying physics at a university level. More information about the two schemes can be found below.

STEM Learning Research Placements provide Year 12 (or equivalent) students the opportunity to spend 2 weeks in July/August working on a supervised but independent project addressing a live research question.
