Strategy and performance

We are committed to social, economic and environmental change at the University, which is why we have adopted a number of key policies and strategies to deliver on our sustainability ambitions.

To ensure that we are consistent in how we tackle climate change, a robust governance structure monitors key performance indicators and our Environmental Management System provides oversight of how we deliver against our policies and plans.

Supporting the UN Sustainable Development Goals

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), are a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure that all people enjoy peace and prosperity. In January 2020 the University formalised its commitment to the UN SDGs by signing the global higher education sector’s SDG Accord in partnership with the Liverpool Guild of Students. In signing the SDG Accord, the University has pledged to put the SDGs at the heart of all of its activities.
