The environment is often the first thing that comes to mind when you think about sustainability. While being green is vital just being green is not enough. Being sustainable is much more than the reduction of our carbon footprint.

The environment is often the first thing that comes to mind when you think about sustainability. While being green is vital just being green is not enough. Being sustainable is much more than the reduction of our carbon footprint. That’s why there are 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), not just one. The SDGs help demonstrate how diverse and expansive sustainable development must be if we are to meet “the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs” and encompass the three pillars of sustainability: the economy, society, and the environment.
