Pathways to Professions
The Pathways Programme supports young people from widening participation backgrounds to access leading universities and competitive graduate careers.
Pathways to Professions at the University of Liverpool is delivered in partnership with the Sutton Trust, bringing together two organisations with the skills, knowledge and experience to help young people progress into exclusive graduate careers.
We offer three Pathways projects, which support students from the start of Year 12 until they progress into their chosen university. Where students progress to the University of Liverpool, they benefit from further on course support. Each project will provide students with the information, advice, guidance and experiences they need to take the next step into higher education and ensure they are on the right path to a successful and rewarding graduate career.
All Pathways projects are completely free to attend. All costs, including travel, accommodation, food and activities, are paid for by the Sutton Trust and the University of Liverpool.

Each project allows students to increase their understanding of what it is like to study at university, gain insights into their chosen sector, engage with current university staff, students and academics and take part in valuable work experience placements and industry insight events. Activities take place both face to face and online. Students on Pathways to Banking and Finance, and Pathways to Engineering, also take part in a residential conference.
