Science Jamboree
The Science Jamboree brings together staff and students of the University with Cubs, Beavers, and Brownies from across Cheshire and Merseyside for a day of activities in the University’s Central Teaching Laboratories. The activities lead to the young people earning some of their ‘science-related’ activity badges including astronomer, digital citizen and experiment.

The Science Jamboree takes place annually, usually on the final Saturday in November.
Bookings for the 2026 event have now closed.
The cost to attendees is £6 per registered Beaver and £8 per registered Cub / Brownie.
Information about the 2027 event will be sent to Merseyside and Cheshire Scout and Guide Counties in early September 2027.
Student Helpers
All activities at the event are run by diligent undergraduate student volunteers, all with a passion for science.

Each badge will take 2 sessions.
