Dr Vasileios Matthaios

Personal Statement

Vasilis Matthaios is an environmental engineer and public health researcher with wide range of research interests in the areas of air pollution, public health, atmospheric science and sustainable societies. His research applies a combination of field measurements in indoor and outdoor environments, personal exposure monitoring and numerical models to investigate human exposure and the sources, transport, and the fate of air pollutants in the environment. He is further interested in applying and evaluating real-world interventions to reduce air pollution exposure and support the development of effective policy measures to protect human and environmental health.
