My research interests include:
Modelling the transmission of pathogens in animal populations.
Investigating mechanisms of transmission and their consequences.
Comparing local behaviour with global population dynamics.
Using the basic reproduction ratio and other indicators to find possible ways of preventing or reducing disease in specific host-pathogen systems.
Investigating the effects of climate change on the transmission of vector-borne diseases.
Assessing vaccination strategies, including their impact on burden of macroparasitic diseases.
