Research
Deb participated and delivered a validated research-based treatment programme which had resulted of a collaboration between Royal Liverpool University Foundation Trust and University of Liverpool to understand the causes and interventions needed in this complex and little understood condition.
During her time in practice, as a clinical nurse specialist, she supported the work of Dr Ann McCardle, part of MSK research at the University of Liverpool by providing and overseeing a sample of patients in the Vitamin D and Cytokine profile studies.
Deb collaborated to produce a systematic review at Applied Research Collaboration North West Coast (ARCNWC. https://arc-nwc.nihr.ac.uk/), exploring why British South Asian women fail to attend UK asymptomatic screening programmes. She has also undertaken her own projects related to quality of life and patient reported outcome measures in ME/CFS.
Deb is now exploring the impact of Schwartz Rounds (Point of Care Foundation. https://www.pointofcarefoundation.org.uk/our-programmes/schwartz-rounds/) on health professionals relationships, developing compassionate leadership and reducing burnout.
