About
Despite going to the Isle of Arran in the driving rain aged 5 to look at Hutton's unconformity I developed an interest in how the Earth works. In recent years, my research has focussed on deep-water stratigraphy and sedimentary processes. I try and keep an interest in structural geology by research into soft-sediment deformation pre-requisites, processes and products (in situ and transported). My field-based research is based in South Africa, Spain, and Argentina. That these countries are major wine producers is merely coincidental.
