About

I am a Learning Technology Developer within the Centre for Innovation in Education. I advise and support staff on a number of technologies through face-to-face sessions, carrying out teaching sessions and developing online learning materials. I also support staff in implementing the hallmarks and attributes outlined in the university's education strategy, Curriculum 2021.

I support the pedagogic use of:

- The virtual learning environment Blackboard.

- Electronic marking and assessment (Turnitin, Bb Assessment, online tests)

- ePortfolio software (PebblePad)

- Polling technologies (Poll Everywhere, Kahoot, Mentimeter)

- Online collaboration (blogs, wikis, office 365, google apps)

- Re-usable learning objects (Xerte, Articulate Storyline)

Learning practice I'm interested in:

- Bloom's taxonomy

- JISC's building digital capability

- Moon's structuring reflection

- Bigg's constructive alignment

I also contribute to a number of institutional projects such as:

- EMA (electronic management of assessment)

- lecture capture

- VLE review

- VLE baseline
