    Personal Statement

    Liam is a mixed-media composer and producer. His pieces have been performed and recorded by Ensemble 10/10, Solem Quartet, Line up Line Percussion, Pixels Ensemble, Rolf Hind, and Ruth Wall. His music is released by Accidental Records (www.accidental.co).

    Completing his PhD in 2020, his research interests include the compositional application of psycho-acoustics and auditory perception, microtonality, meta-modernism, the relationship between new music and the music of the past, and our relationship with technology, in particular the way in which media shapes our understanding of ourselves and our history.

    Liam supports teaching in all Music Technology modules including Studio Recording and Production, Max/MSP, Logic Pro, and History of Electronic Music.
    As well as regular office hours, Liam also holds weekly drop-in sessions where he offers support with any aspect of the Music Technology modules.     His office hours are Monday 1-2pm and Friday 1pm-2pm.
