Personal Statement

Dr Brown graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2002, initially starting her career as a Paediatric trainee before changing her career to become a GP. Dr Brown Qualified as a GP in 2008 and is a memeber of the Royal College of General Practioners. She worked as a GP for 11 years in both the Wirral and Chester.

Dr Brown currently works within a large teaching practice on the Wirral and has an interest in safeguarding, paediatrics and Family planning and has gained the Diploma from the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare in 2007 ( recertified 2017)
She also has a keen interest in teaching and teaches medical students at her practice and is also a GP trainer for GP specialist trainees and is currently working towards Postgraduate Certificate in General Practice Education and the Foundations of Learning and Teaching (FLTHE) qualification.

She was appointed as a Clinical Community Teacher in 2018 and holds a fellowship of the Higher Education Academy
