Personal Statement

Dr Jordan R. Gamble is a Research Associate within the Brett Centre for Entrepreneurship at University of Liverpool Management School. Jordan holds a PhD in Business and Management from Ulster University and has over twelve years of qualitative research experience at universities in China, Ireland, the UK, and the USA. His research has been published in many CABS 3* management journals including Entrepreneurship & Regional Development, European Journal of Marketing, Journal of Business Research, Production Planning & Control and European Management Review. Jordan has presented his research at international conferences in Australia, Canada, China, Iceland, Ireland, and Portugal. He has an H-Index of 13, with publications receiving over 90,000 reads on ResearchGate and over 850 citations on Google Scholar. Jordan is also a Reviewer for seven top tier journals and four international conferences, and holds membership of Institute of Leadership & Management, Irish Academy of Management, European Academy of Management, and Academy of Management.

Jordan’s research interests lie in strategic management within the creative and cultural industries, with particular focus on innovation and entrepreneurship, marketing strategy, business modeling, and value co-creation. He has held Visiting Professorships at Dokuz Eylul University in Turkey in 2018 and University of Mississippi in the USA in 2017. Jordan has experience of teaching and assessment at undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral level at universities in China, Ireland, Turkey, and the UK. He has secured over £105,000 in research funding from nine external funding grants and was the recipient of the 2021 Emerging Scholar Award and the 2018 Babson College Bertarelli Family Award for Excellence in Research. Jordan’s other academic awards and honours include ILM Accreditation, Fellowship of the Staff and Educational Development Association, and Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy.
