The University of Liverpool has been training and educating healthcare professionals for over a hundred years and is a major centre for education and research in the health sciences field.
Our academic staff are experienced, registered, practitioners who are continually developing their own professional knowledge and skills, based on the latest research and practice.
Alongside important theoretical knowledge, we place particular emphasis on developing our students clinical experience to allow them to develop the skills that will enable them to flourish in real-life healthcare environments.
Study with us and you'll have every opportunity to hone your practical skills. Our latest facilities include a virtual reality teaching suite, an imaging suite, and a range of clinical practice rooms to facilitate simulated teaching.
All students will undertake interprofessional learning across all years of their studies facilitating opportunities to learn with and about other health professions.
Home to both the oldest African and Chinese communities in the UK, and with more than an estimated 80 different languages being spoken in the city, Liverpool is widely regarded as one of the friendliest and most welcoming cities in the UK.
It is little wonder as to why 60% of our graduates remain in the city after their studies come to an end.
Our curricula are developed in conjunction with the professional statutory and regulatory bodies, clinical practice partners, and key stakeholders.
This not only guarantees that our teaching is relevant to today's workplace, but also provides exciting opportunities for students to gain clinical experience, within a region that has a particularly diverse patient population.
