Our academic staff are experienced, registered, practitioners who are continually developing their own professional knowledge and skills, based on the latest research and practice.
Our curricula are developed in conjunction with the professional statutory and regulatory bodies, clinical practice partners, and key stakeholders.
This not only guarantees that our teaching is relevant to today's workplace, but also provides exciting opportunities for students to gain clinical experience, within a region that has a particularly diverse patient population.
This is one of the reasons why so many of our graduates achieve top class degrees, and why we have such an impressive employability record.
Study with us and you'll have every opportunity to hone your practical skills. Our latest facilities include a virtual reality teaching suite, an imaging suite, and a range of clinical practice rooms to facilitate simulated teaching.
All students will undertake interprofessional learning across all years of their studies facilitating opportunities to learn with and about other health professions.
Opportunities exist for overseas study through international elective placements. Destinations have included Australia, Africa, Spain and India.
We are proud that the School of Health Sciences hosts a family of professional health programmes which will prepare you for your future professional careers.
