Teaching
Chia-Lin is a Follow of UK Higher Education Academy. She has extensive teaching experiences in the field of urban planning and design across various sizes of classes at the level of both undergraduate and postgraduate in the UK (University of Liverpool, 2018-TODAY) & University College London, 2006-2015) and China (XJTLU, 2015-2018). Over the years, her teaching subjects include: Town and Country Planing in the UK, Planning Theory of Contemporary Cities, Sustainable Urbanism, International Planning Studies, Environment and Planning Projects, Research Methodology and Methods, Infrastructure Planning, Transport Policy and Planning, Strategic Plan-Making, Making Plans, Research Skills for Planners (People and Places) etc.
She also involved organising student competition (Blackpool South Regeneration) and field-class teaching including international field trips to Amsterdam (2013), Manchester (2014), Singapore (2016), Warsaw (2019), Glasgow (2022), Lille (2023).
Apart from higher education teaching, she has been invited by International Business School Suzhou to develop an interdisciplinary course entitled “Case Studies on High-speed rail (HSR) and Development Overseas- What CRRC can learn" to potential talents who are selected for the China Railway Rollingstock Company (CRRC) Executive Education Programme for two consecutive years in 2017 and 2018.
PhD supervision opportunities
