Satheeshkumar Veeramani

Postdoctoral Researcher

Satheesh has been a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Cooper Group since 2023. Previously, he was a Research Associate at the Centre for AI, Robotics and Human-Machine Systems, Cardiff University.

After completing his MTech in Robotics, Satheesh joined Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIITDM, Chennai) to pursue his PhD on multi-robot coordination, where his research was jointly sponsored by Ministry of Education, Government of India under HTRA fellowship, and the University of Genova, Italy.

He has hands-on working experience with various humanoid, mobile and industrial robots including CareObot4, Nao6, ABB IRB manipulators, turtlebot, MCI delta manipulator. He is good at various tools related to robotics such as ROS2, CoppeliaSim. He possesses a strong foundation in the Robot transformation, DH computation for forward kinematics, Inverse Kinematics, Dynamics, Cartesian and joint space trajectory planning, and Implementation of Reinforcement Learning.
