2+2: timeline for stage 2 XJTLU students

Our timeline for stage 2 (year 2) XJTLU students covers everything you need to prepare before you transfer to Liverpool on the 2+2 programme.

Semester 1 

September to December 

1. Learn more about the 2+2 programme through our subject videos 
2. Consider on-campus and recommended private accommodation options for XJTLU students and apply 
3. Attend our Study Abroad fair at XJTLU in November to meet the UoL team and 2+2 alumni. 

Semester 1 - 2 

January to February 

1. Apply for the relevant articulation route. You’ll receive access to the 2+2 application on the e-Bridge portal at the start of stage 2 
2. Apply for or renew your passport if it’s not valid.  

Semester 2 

March to June 

1. Attend information sessions and webinars run by International Advice and Guidance (IAG). These will cover topics including tuberculosis (TB) tests and your Certificate of Deposit (CoD). You’ll receive information about the sessions via email from the Liverpool Mobility Manager at XJTLU.
2. Take your TB test and get your TB certificate 
3. Receive your conditional offer and your Liverpool identification details
4. Deposit money for your CoD. 

July 

Please note that if you need to re-sit your exams, you can do so in August. You should then follow the steps outlined for July in August. 

1. Check your final marks. If you’ve passed, you’ll then: 
   • Apply for your CoD once you meet the requirements 
   • Receive your unconditional offer from Liverpool and your Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) 
   • Attend information session and webinar covering your Student visa application run by International Advice and Guidance (IAG). 
   • Apply for your Student visa to study in the UK. 
2. Attend sessions in the Get Ready for Liverpool pre-arrival module.  

September 

Arrive in Liverpool for our Welcome and induction activities.
