The 2+2 programme

If you’re studying on an eligible undergraduate course at XJTLU’s Suzhou Industrial Park (SIP) campus, you can transfer to the University of Liverpool to complete the final two years of your degree on our 2+2 programme.

You can choose from a range of credit-bearing modules, so your studies are tailored to suit your personal and professional interests. You’ll study alongside a diverse cohort of students in their second and third years at the University of Liverpool.

You’ll graduate with two qualifications, an XJTLU degree and a University of Liverpool degree, which are both recognised by the Chinese Ministry of Education. A Liverpool degree is globally respected within the academic community and among employers.

Over 16,000 students have chosen the 2+2 programme. After completing the programme, many progress to prestigious master’s degrees and PhD opportunities:

  • 94% of 2+2 graduates went on to postgraduate study in 2022
  • 75% secured places at QS world top 50 universities (Class of 2022).

Our Move to Master’s package will support you in gaining a place at the highest-ranked university possible for your postgraduate study.

2+2 graduates have influential careers worldwide, including roles as CEOs, scientific researchers, venture capitalists, architects, city planners, AI specialists, project managers, financial analysts, journalists and entrepreneurs.
