From the 10 – 14 September, take part in the British Science Festival 2025 at iconic cultural venues across Liverpool city centre, the docks and university campuses.
From comedy shows to art installations; dynamic performances to hands-on workshops; insightful talks to interactive experiences, our programme of over 100 FREE events has something for everyone.
Join us in celebrating science in all its varied forms, including health and sport, space, forensics, animals and nature, psychology and lots more.
Brought to life through collaborations between some of the world’s leading scientists working together with local community groups, collectives and creatives.
The Festival, also includes a weekend of events in partnership with the Liverpool Biennial of Contemporary Art exploring the theme of ‘BEDROCK’.
Celebrating the 194th anniversary of the Festival, and working in partnership with Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU) and the University of Liverpool (UoL), the British Science Association (BSA) will bring its flagship event to the city of Liverpool for the first time since 2008.
