SPSS is a statistical package used to analyse data. Check which stats package your subject is using before attending this event. SPSS is one of the easier packages to use for beginners.
Computers will be provided but you are welcome to bring your own if SPSS is already installed. Download the data here and the handbook here.
The workshop includes:
Installing SPSS off campus
Inputting data
Generating descriptive statistics such as mean and standard error
Making graphs using SPSS
This session will provide an overview of the handbook 'Introduction to SPSS' and will include demonstrations.
This workshop will take place in Training room 2 on the 2nd floor of the Sydney Jones library.
