Professor Butterworth is a sought after international speaker in the realm of maxillofacial prosthodontics and implant based rehabilitation of complex multi-disciplinary patient cohorts. He regularly speaks at national and international conferences. He undertakes regular cadaver based teaching courses on zygomatic implants esp in relation to the ZIP Flap Reconstructive technique.

Professor Chris Butterworth is the lead faculty member for the two day Cadaveric course on the use of zygomatic implants in head and neck oncology patients. This course is held in manchester each Nov/Dec for Maxillofacial Surgeons and Prosthodontists involved in maxillary and mid-facial malignancy.
