Our school is committed to valuing diversity, promoting equality and creating an inclusive environment within our school for all our staff, students and visitors.

Athena Swan in the School of Environmental Sciences

The Athena SWAN is a national charter recognising commitment to women’s career development in science, engineering and technology. The charter works to further and support equality and diversity for staff and students in higher education.

The University has held a silver award since 2016. The School of Environmental Sciences is devoted to promoting gender equality, and we successfully achieved a silver award in April 2019.
