With an interdisciplinary curriculum covering strategic management, public health policy, health economics, and innovation, this program equips you with the skills to address complex global health challenges. Global Urbanism and Heritage MSc
This multi-disciplinary programme addresses the growing demand for qualified professionals who have the expertise to harness the opportunities presented by rapid urban development, whilst safeguarding heritage assets and preserving the individual identities of expanding cities. With a specific focus on the Global South, it integrates architecture, urban planning, urban policy and practice, history, sustainability and social sciences, and considers the impact of globalisation and the climate crisis. You will explore the fundamentals of global urbanisation and heritage, and examine patterns of heritage development, conservation, policy and practice. Through a combination of theoretical knowledge and practical skills, you will come to understand the role, influence and impact of historic and contemporary heritage (and heritage at risk) on urban trajectories.

It integrates clinical themes such as epilepsy, neurosurgery and mental health, with foundational neuroscience and cutting edge techniques. Students will have the opportunity to gain hands on experience in diagnostic tools, treatment approaches and advanced research methods including neuro imaging and statistical analysis. This programme has a unique focus on patient experiences and ensures a well rounded understanding of neurological conditions, preparing graduates for impactful careers in Neuroscience.
Publishing MA
The MA in Publishing combines the industry expertise of our on-site publishing house (Liverpool University Press) with the academic excellence of a Russell Group institution, currently ranked within the world top 100 for English (QS World University Rankings 2025). It has a specific focus on academic and trade publishing, and offers in-house professional support alongside the industry knowledge of our esteemed delivery partners at Liverpool University Press (LUP). You will have the opportunity to undertake relevant work experience, develop industry-standard digital skills (in the use of Adobe Creative Suite, for example), and gain insight into editorial, production and marketing.
The Beatles, Heritage and Culture MA (Online)
This online, part-time programme draws on Liverpool’s Beatles industry and heritage sectors to challenge the traditional frameworks within which the band, their music, and their story have so often been presented. You will be encouraged to critically evaluate the ongoing impact of their legacy on areas such as urban planning and regeneration, civic design, heritage, and the tourism and leisure industries, as well as the music and creative industries. Liverpool is a global hub for Beatles research, and your lecturers will include members of the city’s Beatles Legacy Group and benefit from contributions from employees from the sector.
