Admissions interviews
At Liverpool School of Medicine, we pride ourselves in bringing on board future clinicians from a wide range of diverse backgrounds, who demonstrate the potential for a thoughtful, caring and compassionate approach to medical practice and the motivation and academic excellence to both benefit from, and contribute to, our School community.
At present, the University has received approximately 2800 applications for its medicine programmes and we currently have 345 places available annually, with 23 reserved for international applicants and 30 for accepted applicants to the updated A101 graduate entry programme which re-opened in 2024.
Our selection process is compatible with both NHS Values Based Recruitment and recommendations from the Medical Schools Council that state interviews should be part of the decision-making process.
Your input and expertise is key to ensuring we can select the best possible applicants for Liverpool. Interviews for entry in 2025 will be in the format of Multiple Mini Interviews, supported by academic staff and clinicians from across our network.
The interviews (in person for home students and online for international applicants) are scheduled for:
On-campus interviews (20th January to 5th February 2025)
Online Interviews (6th and 7th February 2025)
Interview sessions can be booked as individual mornings or afternoons, or as a full day. It is expected that timings will be -
- Morning: 8.30 am - 12.30 pm (first interview - 9.15 am)
- Afternoon: 1.15pm – 5.00 pm (first interview – 2.00 pm)
Many of our interviewers come back year after year to be a part of this exciting time in our School calendar. As standard, and whether you are participating in person or online, full training and support is provided.
