About
I am a Computational Materials Scientist specialised on polymers. For the past years, I have been studying the conformational, structural, dynamic and rheological properties of different types of systems, including amphiphilic molecules, polymer nanocomposites, liquid crystalline phases and polymer semiconductors using computational techniques.
My current project takes me to apply some of this knowledge to the study of the conformational behaviour of proteins and, more specifically, the contacts between different regions of these macromolecules, as their functionality highly depends on them.
I graduated from Physics in 2010 at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, and gained an MSc in Nanoscience and Nanotechnology in 2013. From 2014 to 2017, I learned computational techniques that I applied to study the properties of polymer nanocomposites, at the University of Manchester, and was awarded my PhD in 2017. My first postdoctoral position was at the Chemistry Department of the University of Liverpool, where I computationally studied the structure of polymer semiconductors.
