  • Entry requirements: We welcome applications from graduates holding a minimum of a 2:2 classification or an equivalent oversees qualification. A range of disciplines will be considered; however, a scientific background or clinical experience is advantageous.

Career prospects

Graduates in Orthoptics are key to the NHS healthcare workforce. Employment opportunities are available nationally and internationally. There is highlighted skill shortage in this area within the NHS. Qualified Orthoptists also have the opportunity to develop into ‘specialist’ and ‘advanced’ Orthoptists. Furthermore,  upon graduation this degree will allow individuals to pursue a range of graduate and research careers in health sciences.
