Qualitative Methods in Trials and Studies Within a Trial
This group will encompass both qualitative methods and studies within a trial, both of which are methods that add value and understanding to clinical trials.
Qualitative research is a methodology for scientific inquiry that emphasizes the depth and richness of context and voice in understanding real life experiences. Studies within a trial (SWATs) are a self-contained research study that has been embedded within a host trial with the aim of evaluating or exploring alternative ways of delivering or organising a particular trial process.
