Welfare and Social Policy Evaluation (W-SPER)
The Welfare and Social Policy Evaluation Research group brings together researchers from a diverse range of disciples - including sociology, economics, public health, psychology, political science, epidemiology and law - to robustly evaluate the mental and physical health and inequality impact of changes to welfare and social policy.
By uniting and sharing our varied methodological approaches and theoretical perspectives, the group aims to generate robust, evidence-base insights that can directly inform policy makers at local, national and international levels. A central focus of the groups work is health equity, and we are united by our collective passion to support a health and equity-promoting social security system for all.
