HIP-R Data Action Research Team (HIP-R DART)

HIP-R Data Action Research Team (HIP-R DART) is the HIPR subset of the wider DART group within the Civic Health Innovation Labs (CHIL).

The Data Action Research Group (DART) within the Health Inequality Policy Research (HIPR) Theme is the HIPR subset of the wider DART group within the Civic Health Innovation Labs (CHIL). 

Within CHIL, DART is its research function, providing an environment for those who use civic data for research and innovation with a civic purpose to collaborate, share knowledge, solve problems, identify priorities and maximise impact by being able to work as one team.  

DART comprises of University of Liverpool researchers from multiple departments in the Faculty of Health and Life Science and the Faculty of Science and Engineering, and analysts from the NHS and local authorities in Cheshire and Merseyside, including but not limited to NHS Cheshire and Merseyside Integrated Care Board, Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, Mersey Care NHS Foundation Trust, The Walton Centre NHS Foundation Trust.  

HIPR’s DART is the founding core of CHIL’s wider DART. Our research group is dedicated to provide specialist knowledge of data engineering and methods to use such data for actionable insight, particularly for the purpose of needs identification, prediction, and intervention evaluation. 

We are a group of diverse disciplinary backgrounds with a multidisciplinary outlook and a passion to support the wider health and care system of Cheshire and Merseyside to create positive social impact and especially tackle health inequalities.
