Participants needed for a 20 minute “Taste Preferences and Memory” piece of research
Two very short lab studies: first one looking at how well certain types of information are remembered and second one observing the differences in taste preferences for savoury snacks.
We will ask you to read a text, answer a few questions about it, complete a questionnaire, then ask you to taste four types of savoury snacks and answer questions on their attributes. We will also provide you with either lemonade or water, in order to ensure that a clean palate is used for each snack. Some demographic questions will also be asked, please see the full details in the information sheet.
We are looking for volunteers who:
• Are 18+
• Are fluent English speakers
• Are not pregnant/breastfeeding
• Do not have a diagnosis of/ being treated for and/or using medication for a psychiatric or psychological disorder (e.g. depression),
• Do not have dietary restrictions (other than vegetarian), food allergies/intolerances
• Do not have a past or current diagnosis of an eating disorder
• Are not currently dieting
• Are able and willing to consume savoury snacks as well as carbonated beverages (sugar sweetened, low-calorie lemonade flavoured beverages or carbonated water)
If you meet these criteria, then you are eligible to take part, subject to a short screening questionnaire during your visit at the lab, to ensure the above conditions are met.
For more information, please read the participant information sheet here.
