I joined the Department of Politics in 2017. I hold a Ph.D in Government from the University of Essex. Prior to joining the University of Liverpool, I worked as a research fellow in the Department of Economics at the University of Warwick.
My main area of research is on terrorism and counterterrorism, with a particular focus on governments' responses to terrorism and public reactions to terrorist events. During my years at the department of Economics, I also developed an interest in public policy and the effects of maternity leaves on women's achievements and job performances. My works have been published in Journal of Peace Research, International Organization, Journal of European Public Policy, inter alia.
