Yiota Vassilopoulou has been awarded a prestigious Fellowship at Foro di Studi Avanzati, Rome, and gave an invited talk on ‘The Reality of the Self: Plotinus and Mary Midgley’ at their annual conference. As part of her fellowship Yiota will lead a 4-year research project on Interiority. The project builds on her current work tracing the legacy of neo-Platonic thinking about the self in the work of the 20th century philosopher, Mary Midgley.
You can find out more about Yiota’s work, and other connected research being conducted by the department’s Language, Experience and Self in the History of Philosophy research group, here.
