About

I first joined the Department of Public Health, Policy, and Systems as a postdoctoral researcher in July 2021, and since July 2023, I have been continuing my journey here as a lecturer.

My background training is in Public Health and Epidemiology, with a focus on nutrition. My work predominantly focused on food consumption and diet quality while identifying their drivers and the related inequalities. Within my department and my projects, I model the potential impacts of the implementation of policies and related changes in diet, and their impact on inequalities. Overall, I try to improve the diet and the health of the populations, focusing mostly on reducing the burden of non-communicable diseases.

I co-lead the IPH Food Insecurity and Nutrition Inequalities Research group. I am also a member of the Non-Communicable Disease (NCD) Prevention and Food Policy Research Team, the Appetite and Obesity Group, the Liverpool Obesity Research Network (LORN) and SOPHIC (Social Sciences of Population Health Interdisciplinary Collaborative).
