About
I am a Public Health doctor and researcher working as an NIHR Academic Clinical Lecturer with the Energy, Air Pollution, and Population Health group. My doctoral work, a Wellcome Trust Clinical PhD fellowship based in Malawi, applied qualitative and quantitative methodologies in an ethnographic study of air pollution. In my current research I continue to use multiple methods as relevant to explore air pollution with a focus on health inequalities, mainly as part of the UK NIHR CLEAN-Air(Africa) Global Health Research Unit. I am an active member of the WHO Health and Energy Platform of Action and of the UoL Social Sciences of Population Health Interdisciplinary Collaborative (SOPHIC) and am on the steering group of the Liverpool Wellcome Trust Clinical PhD Programme (LCPP). Alongside my academic role, I work as an Honorary consultant at the UK Health Security Agency in the Air Quality and Public Health team.
