Dr Georgia Jenkins is a Lecturer in Law at Liverpool Law School and Director of the intellectual property (IP) law LLM program. Her research focuses on the intersection of IP and public interests, namely creativity, competition and cultural heritage. Current research topics include generative AI and authorship remuneration, platform liability/responsibility and freedom of expression, and semiotic disobedience and trade mark law.
Georgia studied law at the University of Western Australia and completed her LLM in IP law at Queen Mary University of London (QMUL). She worked as a trainee at the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) in Alicante. Georgia was awarded a Ph.D in 2023 by QMUL on platform liability and user-generated content in the EU, the subject of her forthcoming book titled 'Creative Reuse'.
