Dr. Caamaño-Gutierrez has spearheaded numerous collaborative research initiatives, including projects with Liverpool Women's Hospital and Alder Hey Children's Hospital, focusing on precision medicine and predictive analytics. Her leadership extends to the development and delivery of high-impact training programmes, such as 'R for Beginners' and 'R for Data Science', which have become integral offerings of the Facility. Recognised for her commitment to diversity and inclusion in STEM, she was honoured with the Inspirational Leader of the Year Award at the University of Liverpool Staff Awards and was named in the North Innovation Women 2025 list. Dr. Caamaño-Gutierrez is also an active contributor to the ELIXIR-UK community, collaborating on national and international data science initiatives.
