Research

My research focuses on inclusive people strategies in organizational and entrepreneurial contexts. I study how organizations and entrepreneurs utilize human capital to meet their goals and under which conditions it may generate or attenuate inequalities.

Some key questions I explore include:
1. How do organizations handle employee mobility across firms to sustain high performance?
2. How are strategic human capital practices related to employee entrepreneurship?
3. In what ways do strategic human capital practices contribute to or reduce social and economic inequalities?
4. What are the strategic and social implications of pay inequality within organizations?
5. What are the risks and benefits of intrapreneurship to firms' overall human capital strategy?

My past and ongoing research have drawn on both historical and contemporary labour market data from Sweden, the Netherlands, India and the United States to pursue these questions.
