Here he is !!
Place a stem cell on Sid the Scientist at our Meet the Scientist outreach event, World Museum, Liverpool
Dr Carl Sheridan actively contributes to research and education beyond the laboratory. He was instrumental in establishing the Liverpool Research Eye Bank, which provides invaluable ocular tissue for research locally and internationally. This initiative supports the next generation of scientists in understanding and treating eye disease.
Carl leads the Teaching Experience Initiative, a faculty-wide programme that creates teaching opportunities for early career researchers and promotes professional development. He also coordinates peer observation activities to enhance pedagogical quality across the department.
He regularly presents at national and international conferences on glaucoma, ocular wound healing, and regenerative medicine. Carl collaborates with clinicians, industry partners, and bioengineering teams to advance translational research. He also participates in outreach events for patients, schools, and the wider public to raise awareness of eye health and vision science.
