Mr Tom Peters BA

Personal Statement

Tom is a graduate of The University of Liverpool's Department of Music. Since graduating in 2009, Tom has gone on to build a career as a Studio Producer and Musician, managing The Grand Studio, Clitheroe from 2011-2017 and later setting up Trapdoor Studio in Liverpool in 2019 where he currently operates as a producer. Tom has a wealth of experience working in studios across the UK and Ireland and specialises in producing guitar-focussed experimental Rock music. Tom's client list includes The Fall, Vennart, Empire State B*st*rd, Bicurious, Grace Davies, Lakes and hundreds of other artists.

He is also a touring musician and recording artist with his band Alpha Male Tea Party who release records through Big Scary Monsters and regularly performs at may UK festivals including ArcTanGent, Portals and Truck Festival among others.

You will see him teaching on the Music and Technology program, specialising in recording and production.
