Mathematical Imaging

The group is interested in developing new and novel mathematical imaging theories and techniques for tackling a large class of real life problems from the emerging field of Imaging Science. Group members interacts widely with on campus, UK and international research groups in this field.

The main interests of the Mathematical Imaging group:

  • Variational Modelling
  • Nonlinear Optimization (Theory and Algorithms)
  • Image restoration
  • Image segmentation and co-registration
