Off Campus Activities
We can visit schools throughout the UK and the cost in your area can be found by visiting the Prices page.
A day’s visit would normally consist of four workshops (the exceptions being BIG Maths and GCSE Revision), each of up to one hour’s duration, and these can be mixed and matched from the range that we offer. Please explore the links for more details of these.
Visits are usually delivered by a team of two staff or students, although we may on occasion bring more. Please view the School of Physical Sciences Outreach DBS policy to read our policy on DBS checks for Maths, Physics and Chemistry Outreach staff and students who work with children and young people.

The FunMaths Roadshow is a pupil-centred workshop which was originally created in 1998 by the Liverpool Mathematical Society, who own and license the material. There are resources available to cater for all ages and abilities between Year 1 and Year 13.

Our GCSE Revision sessions are available for all specifications and exam boards, and we offer them for 4/5 borderline students and 7/8/9 students. We are also able to offer the workshop for C/D and A/A* students in Wales. We would normally run two sessions over the course of a school day, and each session contains a mixture of presentations and more interactive tasks. It is possible to have both sessions targeted at the same level or one of each.

The Dragon Quiz is a fun team relay contest that can be used for fun or for revision purposes. We have a variety of quizzes on offer from year 5 to year 13.

BIG Maths
The BIG Maths workshop is aimed at Year 5 and 6 pupils visiting their destination secondary school, but is also suitable for Year 7. The workshop is an opportunity for students to visit the school and meet older students in an informal setting. Working in small teams, students rotate through a carousel of giant mathematical challenges.
