Published on

The Department of Mathematical Sciences would like to invite you to attend our annual Distinguished Barkla Lecture in Theoretical Physics, which will take place on Thursday 27 November 5-6pm in the Lecture Theatre B of the Central Teaching Hub.

Our guest speaker will be the 2020 Nobel Prize Laureate, Professor Reinhard Genzel, who discovered the supermassive compact object (a black hole) at the centre of our galaxy. His lecture will be entitled "A 40-Year Journey".

This lecture is open to everyone, with students, staff and alumni from across the department welcome.

The lecture will be followed by a wine reception.

Find out more details at the Eventbrite page, where you can also reserve your free tickets.
