RR Routledge received his undergraduate and postgraduate education in economics at the University of Manchester. After completing the BEconSc degree, he was awarded an ESRC scholarship to read for an MSc and PhD. The late Mr Christopher Birchenhall and Prof Alejandro Saporiti supervised his doctoral research. His area of research is microeconomic theory. Currently, he is preparing several research papers with Prof Robert Edwards, University of Nottingham, on theoretical topics in price competition, and ways in which private markets can provide pure public goods.
