About

Personal Statement

I am a Senior Lecturer in Innovation Management at the University of Liverpool Management School (ULMS). I completed PhD from the Alliance Manchester Business School in 2019. In the past, I have also worked as a Visiting Research Fellow at Politecnico Milan, Italy and the United Nations Asian Pacific Center for Technology Transfer, New Delhi, India. I hold an MSc in Industrial Engineering & Management (specialisation: Innovation Management) from Linkoping University, Sweden and a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Silchar, India. I have been engaged in teaching various MSc and UG courses in international business and innovation management. In 2018, I received the 'Best Teaching Assistant Award' from Alliance Manchester Business School. I have also been awarded several prestigious grants including the Strategic Management Society dissertation grant, the Swedish Institute study scholarship, the Irish Research Council Postgraduate Fellowship, the Eu-Spri Consortium visiting fellowship, and the RADMA doctoral fellowship. I sit on the Editorial Review Board of Management and Organization Review (MOR) Journal and also act as an ad-hoc reviewer for several other journals. My research has been published in reputed innovation journals such as Research Policy (an ABS 4* and FT 50 journal), Technological Forecasting and Social Change and R&D Management.

My research interests span three research avenues- a) the management of emerging technologies such as AI and big data analytics, b) innovation in emerging economies, and c) cross-sector collaborations for innovation. I welcome enquiries from prospective doctoral students interested in any of these three research areas.
