Personal Statement

Doctor of Public Health (DPH) My research interests are in High Performance Working and Teams, more recently within the NHS context. With 15 Years Exec Experience in Global Transformational to build resilience, capacity, capability and growth. European and American IT Business Integration Programme Management and Business Transformational Change. Then 15 Years Non Executive Director Experience in both Public and Not for Profit developing Change Capability, Change Management and Leadership. I have consultancy experience delivering solutions in- High Performance Working, Learning, Development, Leadership, Business Restructure. I am an advocate of inclusion and diversity and currently a national Athena Swan Panel Member.

I am scholar of Work and Organisational Management Development in the Management School. I have worked at Liverpool since 2011 and supported the university with their education 2021 strategy in roles such as Enhanced Technology lead, Diversity, Inclusion and disabilities lead Champion the HEA accreditation for the school supporting colleagues with innovation, scholarship and inclusive pedagogical practice
I gained my Doctorate from the University if Wales in 2017 and I hold CIPD and HEA fellowship professional qualifications. In 2015 I was appointed External Evaluator for Notting University Masters in HRM and CIPD level 7 qualifications. I have a wide range of teaching experience covering all levels and modes and have designed and launched a number of UG and PG qualifications. I have a particular interest in hybrid immersive teaching pedagogy and inclusive attainment in the HE sector which I have won a number of teaching prizes for.

My focus is on high performance in education and industry and this is recognised by numerous awards and accolades in teaching, learning and practice awards. My focus is on improving management practice and developing the management profession which is underpinning by my research, teaching, engagement with practice and leadership within and outside the university. My research focuses on how we learn and achieve high performance through teams and systems in a range of contexts, as well as the Health sector in the context of the experiences of managers and leaders in NHS from on-campus and online management classrooms through to formal and informal learning in the workplace.
