    Personal Statement

    Dr Katerina Antonopoulou joined in February 2021 University of Liverpool Management School as a Lecturer in Digital Business and Data Analytics. Previously she held the position of Lecturer in Information Systems at Sussex University Business School (2017 - 2021) and prior to this she was a post-doctoral researcher in the Information Systems department at IESE Business School (2015 - 2016). She was awarded her PhD in Warwick Business School.

    Katerina’s expertise is in the areas of digital innovation, digital transformation and business strategy while her research interests include topics related to value, strategizing practices and performance measures as well as decision-making in entrepreneurial ventures. Katerina’s research has appeared at international peer-reviewed journals such Technological Forecasting and Social Change and Accounting, Auditing and Accountability Journal. She is currently developing a strong pipeline of manuscripts for top journals, such as MIS Quarterly (MISQ) and Information Systems Research (ISR). Katerina presents her work in various international conferences such as ICIS, ECIS, AoM and EGOS and she was awarded the best paper award in the OCIS track of the annual meeting of Academy of Management (AoM, Anaheim 2016).

    She has been working with executive audiences in a variety of collaborative research and consulting activities. She has extensive teaching experience in both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

    Katerina is Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and SAP Certified Application Associate.

    She is Deputy Director of Studies for Project Management (on-campus and online).
