Mr Carl McCluskey BA (Hons)

Research & Finance Team Leader Institute of Integrative Biology

    Personal Statement

My role involves running the financial, research and Knowledge Exchange support activities within IIB as well as leading the Research and Finance Team. I provide analysis of data on research and wider financial performance as well as overseeing the development of grant applications, formulating budgets, liaising with funders and being the key point of contact for academics as I maintain oversight of the whole portfolio of ongoing awards within the Institute.

I have been employed by the University since October 2004, most recently as a Research Support Officer (Post-Award) where I looked after a portfolio of approximately 160 grants across each of the Institutes in the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences, including the Department of Evolution, Ecology and Behaviour. Prior to that I worked for over 8 years in Human Resources and devised, set-up and implemented the holiday schemes in CoreHR.
