Nursing team
The wonderful Nursing team at the Equine Hospital consists of seven RCVS qualified veterinary nurses (VN), three of whom also hold the equine veterinary nursing qualification (EVN) and one advanced equine diploma holder.
Our nursing team provides care 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. We are a training practice for equine nurses and currently have 3 student nurses. In addition, there are 2 nursing support technicians and an animal care apprentice, who support the nursing team.
All our staff are vastly experienced in working with horses. They provide invaluable support to the clinicians, residents and interns, ensuring a high standard of patient care. The team are responsible for the smooth running of two busy operating theatres, radiography, scintigraphy, CT and MRI, as well as the general care of equipment, laboratory submissions and infection control.
