Finding an Overseas Placement

You can self-organise your own vacation work/study/volunteering placement by contacting potential hosts direct; or you can use one of the many companies that organise such opportunities for you. To give you some ideas, visit the Student Trip Report section to read reports from University of Liverpool students on their experiences of working, studying and volunteering overseas. Or follow the Placement Providers link to view a list of the providers that our students have used to access such opportunities in the past; and a list of potential Summer Schools. You might also be able to source opportunities via your network of contacts (friends and family etc.) or via a web search. In all cases be aware that working, volunteering or studying overseas is not risk free. Take a look at the Health & Safety page for advice on how to minimise this risk.
