Course fees

Our Continuing Education course fees vary from programme to programme. You may be eligible for a discount if you receive certain UK means-tested benefits.

Specific course fees for each Continuing Education course can be found on the individual course pages, alongside any additional study costs, such as books, excursions or entrance fees. You'll find both a full (standard) fee quoted and a concession fee rate.

You may qualify for the concession fee rate for your chosen Continuing Education course if you (or a dependant) receive one of the following UK means-tested benefits:

  • Universal Credit
  • Pension Credit
  • Income-related Council Tax Support (not discounts or exemptions)
  • Income Support
  • Housing Benefit
  • Working Tax Credit
  • Child Tax Credit.

You may also qualify if you receive a University of Liverpool means-tested or income-related bursary.

Please note, you will not be eligible for the concession fee rate if you do not receive any of the above UK benefits or an income-related bursary from the University, irrespective of whether you qualify for other non-means-tested benefits.

Proof of eligibility is required each time you enrol. Concessionary fees are made possible thanks to the John Hamilton Bequest.

Postgraduate students

If you’re a master's or postgraduate research student joining a Continuing Education course as part of your taught postgraduate programme or research degree, you may be eligible for the concessionary fee.

This is usually paid by your academic department, subject to approval. Please contact us to arrange this.
